Oliver Plastic Surgery was a solo practice started by Dr. Robert I. Oliver in 1973. Since then, Dr. Oliver has served the Birmingham and regional area with expertise in many areas of Plastic Surgery. He was joined in 2006 by his son, Dr. Robert (Rob) Oliver Jr., who comes after having completed his General and Plastic Surgery training, followed by a fellowship in advanced cosmetic surgery and breast reconstructive surgery. In 2008, we've been joined by talented young surgeon, Dr. Jason M. Jack. Both Dr. Oliver's as well as Dr. Jack have been Board-Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Robert Oliver Sr. has over 30 years experience and continues to practice broad-based Plastic Surgery including cosmetic, breast, pediatric, and hand surgery. He received training in General Surgery at the University of Mississippi, and subsequently served as Chief of Surgery for the United States Air Force over the island of Taiwan. He completed his Plastic Surgery training at the University of Utah and has practiced in Birmingham, Alabama since 1973.
Dr. Robert Oliver Jr. completed his General and Plastic Surgery training at the University of Louisville (KY). While in Louisville, he also served as a Hand and Microsurgery fellow at the Kleinert Clinic. After completing his Plastic Surgery residency, Dr. Oliver was awarded a prestigious fellowship in Advanced Cosmetic Surgery and Breast Reconstruction at the Nashville Plastic Surgery Institute, directed by Dr. G. Patrick Maxwell. Dr. Oliver's clinical interests include cosmetic plastic surgery, body contouring surgery after massive weight loss, emerging technologies, and breast reconstruction after cancer operations. Dr. Oliver Jr. is double board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Jason M. Jack graduated from the University of Alabama with honors while also participating in varsity athletics. During his college career, Dr. Jack was a football letterman, academic All-SEC quarterback, and a member of the 1992 National Championship Team under the leadership of Coach Gene Stallings. After finishing at the top of his class at the Univeristy of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Dr. Jack completed a six-year Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Kentucky . After completing his residency, Dr. Jack returned to Birmingham, Alabama where he has been in private practice ever since. Dr. Jack's special interests include cosmetic surgery, breast surgery, nasal and septal surgery, and post-bariatric body contouring after massive weight loss. Dr. Jack is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
